The New HQ Opening
October 2009 saw the official opening ceremony of the new 6th Lichfield Scout Headquarters, Christchurch Lane. This day was quite momentous with hundreds of people visiting including past and present Scouters, parents and general members of the public.
The opening day was host to our specially invited VIP who was Ed James from Heart FM who kindly came down for the day to see the new building and talk to various people, then to officially perform the opening ceremony.
A Statement
"This was a fantastic day and it was great to see how the Scouting Movement is helping to promote outdoor and adventure activities for all children, providing them with a fantastic opportunity and experience that they probably wouldn’t gain elsewhere. The new building is fantastic and a great credit to the movement hopefully boosting the activities to offer."
